A semi truck carrying cement and towing a pup trailer has overturned on Highway 35 about a mile south of the Finley Point turnoff along Flathead Lake.
The Director of Emergency Services in Lake County, Stephen Stanley, tells us that the vehicles are on their sides, but none of the cement spilled out as a result of the accident. There was a small oil spill which resulted from the crash, but that has been cleaned up.
The crash happened late Monday morning and it will take several hours to get the vehicles up righted. In the meantime, one lane of Highway 35 is open at the accident scene.
Monday's crash happened near the scene of the April 2008 tanker accident which spilled fuel, contaminating some area homes and threatening Flathead Lake.
