The Montana Supreme Court has reinstated criminal charges against a Great Falls man in connection with a 2005 highway crash that killed three people.

Troy Jay Child faces three counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence and one count of perjury, all felonies.

They stem from a 2005 wreck on Highway 200 a few miles east of Winnett, in which prosecutors say Child was driving.

Last year a district judge out of Lewistown granted a defense motion to dismiss the charges, but the state appealed the dismissal and the Supreme Court reinstated the charges.
