School elections were held in districts across Montana on Tuesday.

Billings voters were asked to elect a new school board trustee for School District 2. Barbara Bryan has been active in Billings education for years, and Tuesday night, she secured a seat on the board of trustees with more than 2,250. Competitor Shelley VanAtta withdrew from the race after learning Bryan planned to run, but still earned 1,340 votes.

Voters in Lockwood were deciding the fate of a General Fund Levy of more than $146,000. The final results show the levy failing by a 256 vote margin. 58% voted against the levy while 41% were in favor.

The Blue Creek School District was asking for a Building Reserve levy.  That levy was successful Tuesday, passing by a slim 53% to 47% margin.

In Shepherd, both the high school and elementary school levies went down to defeat, with both failing by wide margins.

Bridger voters were asked for their opinion on a four day school week and the Pioneer School District also asked voters to approve elementary and levies, and voters said no: 58% to 42%.

There's a also one school closure announcement to bring to your attention. A power outage at the St. Labre Catholic School in Ashland has forced officials to cancel classes there both Wednesday and Thursday.
