Hanna Cini, 6, died on April 17th after she was in a car crash in Kalispell, but her memory continues through her charity called Hanna's Dream.
We traveled to Elmo on Wednesday with her family and friends as they made the organization's second donation.
The kids of Elmo, Big Arm and Dayton smiled brightly as they made drawings with new art supplies which were donated to them by Hanna's dream.
At age 5 Hanna decided she wanted to make kids around the world happy by giving them supplies to make art, which was her favorite past time. Wednesday marked the charity's first local donation, coming just four weeks after Hanna's passing.
"I was really excited when I was contacted and I know that it means a lot to a lot of the kids" said Elmo resident Gina Bigeeaver. "There are a lot of kids that are into art, and for some people it is hard to get art supplies so it's a really big blessing to all of the children here."
Hanna's mother Robin took pictures and smiled as the kids used their new crayons and markers. She told us that Hanna's Dream is what is keeping her going.
"If I didn't have this, I'd be probably stuck in bed, sheets pulled over my head, twiddling my thumbs and wondering what to do, so this is very healing."
She added that she's looking forward to doing more. "It's definitely going to be a full time job for awhile, but it'll be a full time job that is worth doing, and that makes a difference. And it helps me in healing, so.
The organization has been overwhelmed with support and donations from the community, but with what would have been Hanna's seventh birthday on Friday, the success is bittersweet.
