It looks like the Bozeman Tea Party will not be the only march down Bozeman's Main Street this Fourth of July.

City officials have approved a parade request for the Green Coalition of Gay Loggers for Jesus.

The parade will happen an hour before the scheduled Tea Party march, extending the total time of Main Street closure from 9 a.m. to noon.

Gay Loggers for Jesus President Brian Leland said his group offers a more fiscally conservative Independence Day parade. Unlike the Tea Party, his group will pay for all costs incurred by the march, he said.

"To us, it seems really ironic that an organization that is concerned about taxpayer burdens, taxes, spending by government, that they should incur additional costs to the city," Leland said.

Leland said his organization currently does not include any loggers or homosexuals, but is open to anyone.

"Since an article came out in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle on Saturday concerning our organization, we've had a lot of calls from as far away as Washington, D.C. As of yet we don't have any gays or loggers in the organization but we're a big tent organization, and given that the Tea Party leadership has kind of fumbled the ball in regards to following the law, I would certainly welcome any of the folks with the Tea Party. They are more than welcome to march with us," he said.

Tea Party spokesman Henry Kriegel calls Leland's action a silly protest not worthy of news coverage. Kriegel said the Tea Party should not have to pay to exercise free speech.

Leland has also filed an official protest for the City allowing the Tea Party march. The Tea Party failed to follow municipal codes and the proper appeal process in regards to their application for street closure, Leland claims.

City officials say the Tea Party was not made fully aware of the appeal process when the closure was initially denied. The Tea Party will go on, they said.

Here's a schedule for July 4th parades that will close streets from Wallace West to Fifth Avenue:

9 a.m.: Closure for Green Coalition of Gay Loggers for Jesus parade

9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: Gay Loggers for Jesus Parade down Main Street. Must be finished before Tea Party march starts.

10 a.m.: Tea Party assembles at Wallace Street

10:30 a.m. to noon: Tea Party parade down Main Street, assembly near courthouse
