The identity of a Kansas man that was killed in a Hardin accident has been released.
Joshua Zirger, 28, of Waterville, Kansas died Wednesday after the pickup truck he was riding in hit a cow, according to the Big Horn coroner's office.
The Montana Highway Patrol says a 23-year-old man was heading west toward Hardin on Sarpy Creek Road when he struck a cow in the road, lost control of his pickup and skidded into a ditch.
The truck rolled and the man and his 28-year-old passenger were ejected.
Zirger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seatbelt.
Speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, according to Trooper Tony Beehler.
