A mountain lion has been seen prowling around the west side of Anaconda, according to the Anaconda Leader.
Anaconda Deer Lodge County Animal Warden Tom Williams said the mountain lion has been recently sited several times on Ogden Alley west of Washoe Park off of Highway One, two miles west of town and on Howe Street.
Williams is warning people to be aware of the possible danger. Children should not sleep outdoors and pets should be kept indoors, especially at night.
Anyone who sees the mountain lion is asked to call Anaconda Police at 563-5241.
