Fire officials with the Dillon Interagency Dispatch Center have confirmed that two wildfires are burning as a result of Sunday night's lightning storm.
DDC wildland firefighters are still looking for other blazes that may be less visible due to the rain associated with the storm.
Officials caution that as temperatures rise and wind picks up throughout Monday, the stretch of ground where Sunday night's lightning touched down several times may show other ignitions.
The Leggett Hill Fire, located along the ATV trail up Pipestone Road, about 10 miles southeast of Butte and is about one half of an acre in size and is currently in patrol status.
Meanwhile, the Pony Fire is located about eight miles west of Harrison where five firefighters are hiking to assess the fire and begin work.
Three firefighters search for a smoke report in the Bielenburg area, about 10 miles west of Racetrack.
