A former Ravalli County Undersheriff is back to work for the sheriff's department after he resigned in July when deputies responded to his home for a domestic disturbance.
The Montana Attorney General's Office has charged Kevin McConnell's wife, Angela, with misdemeanor Partner of Family Member Assault.
Prosecutors say that the investigation revealed McConnell had brushes and scratches from the assault and that his wife has admitted to being the primary aggressor.
McConnell is now working as a patrol deputy at the Ravalli County Sheriff's Department.

Missoula County Sheriff Mike McMeekin has wrapped up his review of a domestic violence case which happened at the home of the Ravalli County Undersheriff.
Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman says that deputies responded to Undersheriff Kevin McConnell's house for a report of domestic disturbance on July 18th.
Last week McConnell resigned for personal and family reasons and it's still not clear if McConnell's resignation is related to the domestic call.
The case is now in the hands of the Montana State Attorney General's Office. McMeekin says once the AG's office reviews the case, it will make a recommendation to the Ravalli County Attorney if any charges will need to be filed.
McConnell served with the Ravalli County Sheriff's office since 1996, and as Undersheriff since 2002.
