A Tuesday afternoon accident near Glendive claimed the life of an Oklahoma woman, but two young children survived the rollover crash.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the one-vehicle accident happed around 4:20 p.m. on Interstate 94 East in Dawson County.
Authorities say a 24-year-old Bartlesville, Oklahoma woman was heading eastbound on the interstate when the vehicle she was driving veered left. She then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll over.
The victim was not wearing a seat belt and ejected from the vehicle. But a 1-year-old girl and a two week old baby boy were both properly restrained and as a result weren't hurt in the accident.
The driver was taken to Glendive Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
We're told that alcohol and speed were not factors in the accident.
