Campground closed in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest

Dead trees that are posing a hazard to forest visitors have prompted the closure of the Balanced Rock Campground on the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest's Madison Ranger District.

"The campground is closed in order to prevent any injuries to the public from falling trees," District Ranger Sue Heald said in a news release.  "District crews will fall the trees when their work schedules allow, but for now the area is closed by special order."

Anyone with questions can call the Forest Service office in Ennis at (406) 682-4253.
