A group of Billings firefighters hit the streets Saturday to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Members of local Union 521 hosted a "fill the boot" drive at the intersection of 32nd Street West and Central Avenue.
Since 1953, firefighters across the nation have raised more than $30 million for the MDA, and local firefighters say they enjoy taking part in this 50 year tradition because of the personal connection with MDA.
Billings firefighters hoped to raise about $15,000.
Meanwhile, Lockwood firefighters had to cut their boot drive short due to flooding at the fire station. So those firefighters will "fill the boot" next Saturday at Highway 87 and Johnson Lane.
