Boulder Police and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department responded to a call for a suicidal man on Thursday morning, and when they arrived at least one shot was fired.
The man, who was alone in the house at the time of the incident, was later arrested and nobody was hurt in the incident.
Police Chief Rick Streib told us that one shot was fired, although members of the Sheriff's department have said the man fired as many as three shots.
Streib says the intent of the shots is being investigated and that it's too early to tell if the man was shooting at law enforcement officials. Stribe said that it's unclear if the man tried to threaten law enforcement, or entice them to shoot him.
The man is being held in custody but his identity is not being released because no charges have been filed yet.
