Six fire departments battled a storage unit fire early Tuesday morning.

Dispatchers received a report at around 3:45 a.m. of "flames visible" at All Star Self Storage, which is located on Harlequin Court just off of Expressway Boulevard.

The fire started in one of the storage units and then spread to two other units, assistant chief Bill Colwell said. The blaze was contained to the three storage units, but there was some smoke damage in the other units and the main hallway, Colwell said.

The Missoula Rural Fire District, Missoula City Fire Department, East Missoula, Clinton, Frenchtown and Florence fire departments were all called to the scene and managed to contain the fire to two units in one building.

Colwell said there is nothing suspicious about the fire and the cause is still under investigation.
