A Whitehall family is hoping to give three Ethiopian orphans a new home.
They call it "the loving option." But the adoption process is an expensive, one and the Schilling family needs help from the community this weekend.
A yard sale, bake sale and barbecue cookout will take place in the parking lot of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church at 630 West Iron Street in Uptown Butte from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The proceeds of the adoption fundraiser will go to the Schilling Family Adoption Fund at Rocky Mountain Bank in Whitehall.
The Schillings say businesses in Butte and Whitehall have already donated food and drinks. Now they only need the community's help to add three more children to their family of five.
"They don't know any English and we don't know any of their language, which is Grominia, but we're going to show them the love language. Lots of hugs and kisses and it's going to be fun. Loud, noisy, and it's going to be cool," Bonnie Schilling said.
