Two men are facing charges for a Libby robbery with a firearm followed by a high speed chase at over 100 miles per hour.
Detective Joe Nagle says around 7:30 on Friday night the 11th, the sheriff's department got a call of an armed robbery at the Lucky Logger, a casino and Town Pump. Nagle says witnesses gave good descriptions of the two men, and Libby police located them.
The two men started a high speed chase with speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. Montana Highway Patrol put out spike strips east of Troy, and the chase ended two miles before the Idaho border.
37 year old Michael Davis of Helena was the driver, and was charged with Robbery. His relative, 50 year old David Redford of Moyie Springs, Idaho is charged with Robbery by Accountability.
Detective Nagel says the had a firearm and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
