The identity of a woman killed in Thursday's fatal crash on U.S. Highway 191 has been released.

Marie K. Dorsey, 46, of Gallatin Gateway died at the scene of the three-vehicle crash that happened at about 12:09 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 191 and Cottonwood Road, according to the Gallatin County Sheriff's Department. Two other people were taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital with unknown injuries.

Dorsey was traveling southbound towards Gallatin Gateway on U.S. 191 and had stopped to make a left hand turn onto Cottonwood Road when her car was rear-ended by another vehicle, which sent her into oncoming traffic in the northbound lane, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. A third vehicle then crashed into the passenger side of her car, forcing it off the road and into the ditch in front of the Buffalo Jump Sports Bar, according to the highway patrol.

Dorsey was reportedly killed upon impact.

A pickup truck hauling a load of logs and a Subaru station wagon were the other vehicles involved in the crash.

The names of the other people involved in the crash have not yet been released.

U.S. Highway 191 was closed from shortly after the crash until about 5 p.m. on Thursday.

The cause of crash is still under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.

The Montana Highway Patrol, Gallatin County Sheriff, Gallatin County Coroner, Gallatin Gateway Fire Department and a Montana Highway Patrol investigation van responded to the crash.
