Surveillance video taken from Frenchtown High School has helped investigators catch a suspect who's believed to have caused over $1,500 in damage on football fields and school grounds.
The Missoula County Sheriff's Department reports that a vehicle tore up the football field and an adjacent field last Saturday.
The driver of that vehicle also busted through locked gates and damaged the school's above ground well head by running over it.
The suspect will face felony charges for the vandalism. Detective Rick Newlon says that as of October 1st, $1,5000 in damage or theft charges can be prosecuted as a felony.

An act of vandalism is going to cost Frenchtown High School some cash and time.
Right in the middle of their football season, school officials will now have to resurface parts of their football field after vandals ripped it up with tire tracks.
The Missoula County Sheriff's Department reports that someone went joyriding on Saturday night, driving through a fence and onto the football field before riding onto another field tearing it up.
Frenchtown just finished up construction on their new high school and junior high, and officials there predict that Saturday's damage will be punishable with felony charges.
Officials will be reviewing some video surveillance, but are still seeking the public's help in cracking the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (406) 721.4444.
