Governor Brian Schweitzer has announced appointments to various boards and councils.
The appointments include several Bozeman area people.
Kim Allen Scott of Bozeman was appointed to the Historical Records Advisory Council. Scott is an archivist with Montana State University. He has a master of library and information science degree from the University of Texas-Austin.
Lee Kinsey of Livingston, a fishing outfitter, was appointed to the Board of Outfitters. Kinsey attended Montana Tech, and has served as president of the Fishing Outfitter Association of Montana.
Shawn McNeely of Bozeman, a fishing and hunting outfitter, was also appointed to the Board of Outfitters. McNeely has a business management degree from Montana State University, and is on the board of directors for Meritex Enterprises.
George Watson of Bozeman, a private practice psychologist, was appointed to the Board of Psychologists. Watson has a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California-Santa Barbara. He and his wife own Bozeman Psychological Services.
Cynthia Andrus of Bozeman, was appointed to the Tourism Advisory Council. Andrus is the convention and visitor bureau director for the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, and is vice chair of the Montana Arts Council. She has an elementary education degree from the University of Montana.
Meg O'Leary of Big Sky, was appointed to the Tourism Advisory Council. O'Leary is the director sales and marketing for Big Sky Resort. She has a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Montana and has held leadership positions in the Gallatin County Transit Board, the Big Sky Convention Visitor Bureau and the Lone Peak High Booster Club.
Bruce Sorensen of Belgrade, was appointed to the Board of Veterinary Medicine. Sorensen owns the Sorensen Veterinary Hospital. He received his DVM from Washington State University. He's active in the Society for Theriogenology and 4-H.
