A fund has been set up to help the couple who lost their Missoula home and a car to an early Sunday morning fire.
Robert Kendall and Camala Summers say they were woken up by their dog at around 2:30 a.m., and quickly left their mobile home at 1600 Cooley Street to call for help.
Fire officials say that home was engulfed in flames upon arrival, and the house and car parked outside were both destroyed by the flames. The family doesn't have insurance to pay for the damages.
"You never appreciate what you have until you don't have it anymore... its tough its really though I did a walk through awhile ago and its like... some stuff that we could salvage we did... but overall everything is totaled," Summers said.
The couple said the fire was electrical in nature, but that hasn't been confirmed by the Missoula City Fire Department.
The Red Cross is helping the couple out by putting them up in a hotel for a few days until they get back on their feet. If you would like to help out call 493-6021.
A fund has been set up to help the victims. Donations are being accepted for for the Camala R. Summers Benefit Account at First Security Bank branches in Missoula.
