The state crime lab in Missoula is trying to determine the identity and cause of death of human remains which were found in Big Arm last week.

Lake County Sheriff Lieutenant Mike Sergeant says the remains appear to have been there for several years.

Experts from the state crime lab and the University of Montana archaeology department helped process the scene.
