Weight Watchers and its members are helping the Missoula Food Bank fight hunger.
The second annual "Lose For Good" campaign fights obesity and hunger on a local, national and global level.
Representatives with Missoula Weight Watchers say they have encouraged their members who lost weight to donate healthy food. One man donated 81 pounds, the weight he lost since January.
"He had to go over to the store and push the food in a shopping cart because it was too heavy for him to carry. And it was kind of an 'ah ha' moment because he realized that he'd been carrying that 81 ponds around for the last several years," said Weight Watchers Leader, Andrea Anderson.
"Food drives like this really do bridge gaps for us as we hit those slow times for donations at our local food bank," said Missoula Food Bank Development Director, Nick Roberts.
Weight Watchers Members and staff participated in more then 3,300 food drives and collected over 2,000,000 pounds of food for local food banks across the country.
