As Halloween approaches, so are a variety of spooky thrills fit for a frightening night out in the Mining City.
Butte's storied past has led many to believe that some of those who lived in it never really quite left. The hunt for the most haunted grounds in Butte will be on at 6 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Friday as Tucker Transportation buses will pick up thrill seekers from any restaurant uptown.
The tour will go to 15 ghostly attractions including the Butte Silver Bow Courthouse where employees have reported supernatural sightings for many years. They say the ghost of Miles Fuller who was hanged for murder in 1906 wanders the halls at night.
The buses will also navigate through the Jailhouse Coffee Building, which is the site of Butte's first jail, and it will travel to the Steward Mine where Butte events coordinator Josh Peck will talk about the ghosts of the mine.
The buses leave at 8:15 and 10 p.m. Friday.
Admission is $5 per person.
