Tons of trick-or-treaters hit the streets Saturday night, but there was one neighborhood in Billings that left trick-or-treaters with quite the scare.
Clark Avenue was packed with princesses, super heroes and witches waiting in line for the well-known haunted house put on by Craig Herbert and his friends and family.
Herbert says his imagination has helped the haunted house become scarier each year. He draws ideas from his family, who all participate in the haunted house, by acting as characters.
And with all those visitors, Herbert says his family will pass out more than 6,000 pieces of candy to local kids. He said this is the fourth year he's put on the haunted house and it keeps getting better every year.
"I'm still a kid at heart, big time. I love to have fun, that's what I love to do. Yeah, Halloween's a great time. It's all about scaring the kids. I mean you hear them come out of here giggling and laughing and screaming. What more fun can you have?" he said.
Herbert said he estimates about 5,000 people will go through his haunted house Saturday night.
