More than $10,000 in tools, electronic equipment and other items were taken from a Butte home that was burglarized late last week.

The home is located in the 4900 block of Hope Road on the west side Harrison Avenue behind Quality Supply. Sheriff John Walsh says the resident reported the missing items to police just after 11:30 p.m. Friday evening. 

The resident told police he left his home at noon and discovered the burglary when he returned at 10:30 p.m. 

Items missing include three rifles, two pistols, a home stereo system, an X-Box entertainment system, a camera worth more than $1,000, a laptop computer, jewelry, an air compressor, a generator, a table saw and numerous tools.

The case is under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the break-in is asked to call police at 497-1121 or Crimestoppers at 782-7336.
