Bond is set at $300,000 for a Billings man charged with attempted deliberate homicide.
This afternoon, Jacob Carroll, 27, appeared in Justice Court via video from the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.
He is accused of strangling a 33-year-old woman last Friday night.
Court documents say when police arrived at 209 Orchard on Billings' south side, they found Carroll strangling Tia Murphy.
The report says officers had to tase Carroll to get him off of the victim.
Authorities revived Murphy with CPR. She was taken to Billings Clinic and released two days later.
Prosecutors recommended the $300,000 bond, while the defense requested a $50,000 bond saying Carroll is not a flight risk and has no adult felony record.
Justice of the Peace Larry Herman scheduled Carroll to appear in District Court on November 5th.
