Authorities have identified that 68-year-old who they say was killed when he fainted and drove his all-terrain vehicle off of a 50-foot embankment near Alberton earlier this week.
Mineral County Sheriff Hugh Hopwood says the family has identified the man as Ruben Sayler, Jr. of Alberton.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was riding with a friend in the Moose Creek Road area when he crashed Tuesday afternoon.
Hopwood says Sayler died of blunt force trauma.
(from November 5, 2009) Mineral County Sheriff Hugh Hopwood says that the man killed while four-wheeling near Alberton on Tuesday afternoon died from blunt force trauma.
The victim and his friend were riding ATVs in the Moose Creek Road area when the accident happened.
The Montana Highway Patrols reports that the victim passed out and then ended up going over a 56 foot embankment.
His name is not being released at this time.
(from November 3, 2009) A man died Tuesday afternoon while riding his four wheeler in the Moose Creek Road area near Alberton.
The Montana Highway Patrol says two friends were four wheeling when one of the men passed out and crashed.
Troopers say they don't know if the man died from medical issues or if he died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The MHP, the Mineral County Sheriff's Department and Frenchtown Fire Department all responded to the scene.
