There were a few mayoral races and several city council races in the Bitterroot which were on the table Tuesday.
Ravalli County Elections officials tell us incumbent Hamilton Mayor Jerry Steele won with 79% over Michael Speadbury. The tally was 774-208.
Meanwhile in Stevensville, Lewis Carter Barnett won with 56% of the vote over Clayton Douglas Floyd, Junior. The votes cast were 264 for Barnett and 208 for Floyd (56%-44%).
Voters in Hamilton selected Melvin Monson as the Councilperson for Ward 1. He beat Michael LaSalle 226-184 (55%-45%). In the race for Ward 2, Nancy Joy Hendrickson beat Corey Johnson 153-71 (68%-32%).
The race for Pinesdale Selectman went to Stephen Stoker. He beat Rulon Jessop 91-67 (58%-42%).
The breakdown for the Florence Water and Sewer District is: Margie O'Brien with 112 votes (20%), John Thompson, 91 votes (16%), Judy Sass with 87 votes (15%), Paul Kamrath, 86 votes (15%) and Christopher Anderson with 83 votes (15%). Meanwhile, Patricia Coombs received 78 votes (14%) and Ronald Sass got 31 votes (5%).
