Sanders County voters headed to the polls on Tuesday to have their say in several races.
The mayor of Plains will be Michael Brinson, who beat Ronald Robinson 171-148 (54%-46%). Jenifer Reynolds was elected for the Ward 3 council slot in Plains. She picked up 81 votes to Forest Kaufman's 39 (58%-32%). The two-year term for Ward 1 went to Randy West with 65 votes. While the Ward 1, four year, term went to Carl Reeb, who defeated write-in candidate Shanon Hedahl, 43-24.
Meanwhile, the Ward 2 councilor will be Debbie Churchill, who received 58 votes. Chris Allen won the Ward 3, four year, council slot with 115 votes.
The Mayor of Thompson Falls will be Carla M. Parks who beat Louis LaRock, 323-152. The Ward 1 seat went to Linda McKahan with 132 votes. Mark Sheets won the Ward 2 seat with 117 votes and the Ward 3 Councilperson will be Randy Roberts who garnered 122 votes.
Hot Springs voters selected Randal Woods as mayor. He beat Lori Anne Hancock, 124 votes to 40 votes. The four year term for Ward 1 Councilperson goes to Mendy Estill who downed Karen Evans, 47-36. The Ward 2 Councilperson spot, which is also a four year term, goes to Leslee Smith. She beat Kim Edwards 49-31.
