Lincoln County voters headed to the polls on Tuesday to pick mayors and councilors.
Douglas Roll beat Peggy Williams 418 votes to 292 votes in the race for Libby Mayor (59%-41%). In the race for Libby Council member, the breakdown was: Robin Benson, 388 votes (20%); Barbara Desch 370 votes, (19%); Vicky Lawrence 358 votes (18%); Walter McElmurry 342 votes (17%); Leland Botham 292 votes (15%); and Ron Carter 228 votes (12%). The Libby Council unexpired term went to D.C. Orr, who defeated Charles Travis Berget 361 votes to 267 (57%-43%).
The Eureka mayor will be Ethel White, who defeated Cory Persson and Dave Newburn in a three-way race. White picked up 89 votes, for 40% of the ballots cast. The breakdown for the Eureka Council: Leeann Schermerhorn 126 votes (35%); Jennifer Hannay 124 votes (34%); and Bart Roose 113 votes (31%).
In Troy, Donald Banning beat Edward Hanson for the mayor's slot, 192-153 (56%-44%).
