A trophy-class bull moose that was well known by locals in the Cardwell area was poached and left to waste.
Montana, Fish, Wildlife and Parks is asking for help in investigating the poaching along Cemetery Road south of Cardwell after receiving multiple calls from hunters in the area about the dead 40-inch bull moose. The moose was found about 100 yards off the road and had been left to waste.
The moose was well known and watched by locals and was likely shot from the road early during the week of Oct. 26, Warden Justin Gibson said

Callers can remain anonymous or confidential and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
