Preparations are underway to welcome an extraordinary production to the Mining City, Cirque Dreams Illumination.

Cirque Dreams Illumination is the critically acclaimed theatrical innovation that promises to turn the everyday ordinary into something truly amazing. The production is made up of urban acrobatics, thrills of disbelief, dazzling costumes along with the sounds of jazz, ballroom and pop.

But a great deal of work is needed to make that show come to life. The first step was in inspection for the Butte Civic Center.

Once the inspection was complete, it was time to set up the massive stage.  On Monday, workers were busy unloading equipment from trucks and setting up the rigging that begins with the rafters high above with these counter weights attached.
