Special Ed Teacher, Judy Burhop, and her 18 students at Corvallis Primary now have an additional tool to help them with their studies. Thanks to the "One Class At A Time Grant" by Montana's News Station and Allegiance Benefit Plan Management, a brand new white board is on its way to the Special Education Room.
KPAX General Manager Bob Hermes presented the check to Mrs. Burhop, who already has the new white board picked out. The 4-by-8 foot white board will be installed to the wall like a chalk board so Mrs. Burhop can teach class more effectively. She says her K through 3rd grade students respond well to visual learning.
"The color gets their interest more. You can see different things with different colors. Like a sentence, I could put the naming part of the sentence in red and the rest of it in blue<" explains Special Ed Teacher, Judy Burhop.
