Butte residents appear in court on drug charges

A pair of Butte residents have pleaded not guilty to drug charges during a federal court session in Missoula.

Anthony Kerner, 44, and Moriah Beckman, 19, appeared on charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and theft of government property.

They are currently detained and if convicted of the charges, they each face possible penalties of a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and could be sentenced to life, a $4,000,000 fine and at least five years of supervised release.
