Veterans Day being marked in Billings

There are numerous Veterans Day events scheduled in the Billings area today.

Beginning at 10:00 this morning, a celebration is set for the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Center in Billings.

That ceremony will be followed by a celebration at the Yellowstone County Veterans Cemetery in Laurel beginning at noon.

Coming at 3:00 this afternoon, Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer will be among the dignitaries on hand to dedicate the new Independence Hall, a facility for homeless veterans in the Billings Heights.

Coming up on Thursday, Will James Middle School will hold a Veterans Day assembly at 9:00 in the morning. All veterans and military personnel, as well as the public are invited to the event.
