One killed in Lincoln County crash

A 19-year old Eureka resident died, and another person is in the Intensive Care Unit following a Friday night crash which happened near Stryker.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Neil Duram says that Morgan Jackson, 19, was headed southbound on U.S. Highway 93 at around 6:50 p.m. Friday, when Jackson crashed and died.

The 22-year old passenger was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center by ALERT medical helicopter, where the passenger remains in the ICU.

The car hit a tree and burst into flames. Troopers say the driver was speeding and drinking, but both that occupants were wearing their seat belts.
