Two Montana men who survived eight pit stops around the world in CBS's Amazing Race have reached the end of their journey.
In Sunday night's episode, Gary Tomljenovich of Laurel and his son, Matt Tomljenovich, a student at Montana State University, started out in last place and were determined to make a comeback. All of the teams left on a ferry through the Baltic Sea for Estonia. There Gary and Matt faced a speed bump where they had to find a sauna bus and sweat it out for five minutes.
They lost valuable time once they got to their next challenge and Matt couldn't figure out what a candelabra was. Next, they tried to catch up to the other teams to find their next clue but got lost. By the time they arrived at their last detour, they knew their chance at the Amazing Race was over.
"It's been an adventure. Yeah, it has been. You can't put a price on this experience and being able to spend the time we had together. Oh man, big time, super, super proud of this guy," Gary and Matt said.
“It's quite emotional for you?” the host asked Gary.
“It is and I don't do this but you know it's a long race but it's been good,” Gary answered.
There are four teams left competing for the $1 million prize in the Amazing Race.
