Pro-wolf groups say they are glad that Montana's wolf hunt has come to an end.
They say it was especially difficult hearing about hunters taking wolves in the back-country near Yellowstone National Park. In fact, they say the hunt was a bad idea from the beginning.
"We were disappointed the wolf hunts transpired at all. We think they were premature. Hopefully the state of Montana learned a lot about how to organize, manage and set up a wolf hunt going forward in case there's a future hunt, which we don't think there should be anytime soon," explained the Natural Resources Defense Council's Matt Skoglund.
