A Deer Lodge man was shot and killed in a weekend hunting accident at a campground southeast of Deer Lodge.
The man has been identified as James Boice, 25, according to the Anaconda Deer Lodge County Coroner.
The shooting happened Sunday morning at the Orofino Campground about 13 miles southeast of Deer Lodge. Brice was not shot by another individual, Detective Steve Barclay said.
The body was taken to the state crime lab in Missoula for further investigation.
