Montana Tech, while looking into what it hopes is its own future, recently announced it is vision for the year 2025.
Montana Teach Chancellor Frank Gilmore presented a slideshow in Copper Lounge describing an improved theoretical campus with eight new buildings for additional research study, student housing and technology centers as well as new outdoor athletic fields and roadways to connect the campus to the interstate.
The Vision Plan also details renovations to current campus facilities including the Main Hall and the library. According to the plan, most new building would take place behind the HPER complex and the Natural Resources Building scheduled to open in spring 2010.
In his address to the local community, Gilmore also explained an interesting possibility for integration.
“We also need to bring into this, ultimately, the College of Technology, if at all possible, on this site, rather than away from this site because it would make it a lot easier to run the whole operation,” Gilmore said.
