Missoula fans who couldn't make it to Bozeman to watch the Griz beat the Cats, gathered at house parties and local bars and restaurants to watch the game with friends.
Griz fans dominated the scene at the Press Box sports bar, in fact, there wasn't a Cat fan to be found in the house, so the celebrations were one-sided with each Montana touchdown.
Montana natives say no rivalry is as important as the one between the Griz and the Cats.
"You're born either a Cat or a Griz, and I was born a Griz in Chester, Montana and I was one of the few" said Julie Williams UM Class of 1977. "So, you have that rivalry, and we cheer for the Cats when they aren't playing the Griz, but other than that we're Griz all the way."
The fans say celebrating together in a Grizzly bar is the next best thing to being in Bozeman for the game.
The Griz fans were rewarded as #3 Montana beat #23 Montana State by a final score of 33-19.
