Several teens in Butte were busted for underage drinking Saturday evening.

Sheriff John Walsh says police responded to a report of a party at a residence on the 10 block of Redwood Drive. When police arrived they did an initial walk through of the home, Walsh said. That's when the parent of one of the teens arrived and entered the home and discovered 40 to 50 juveniles hiding in the basement with several escaping. 

The remaining teens, ages 15 to 18, were tested for alcohol. Ten minor in possession citations were issued to teens under the age of 18. Three 18-year-olds were cited as well. 

The owners of the home were reportedly out of town.
