There was a party going on in Butte Monday afternoon, but this one was deadly serious.
Volunteers, most of them county employees, drank alcohol, talked and ate snacks at the Comfort Inn. But it was a lot more than just fun. Just a few steps away, law officers were getting a refresher course on how to spot and test for drunk drivers.
While the test subjects drank, the officers practiced their techniques. The goal is to keep drunks off the roads and to keep other drivers safe.
