Many groups in Great Falls were making sure everyone had a full plate for Thanksgiving today.
A traditional meal was served today at the Great Falls Rescue Mission; money and food donations helped provide the food, and volunteers helped dish it out. The Rescue Mission expected to feed about 80 people today.
People that came for the meal were thankful for the food and the Rescue Mission. Diner Julia Hamm said, "This is like a second family. I know a lot of people here and people are really nice. Being thankful even through the hard times that you can get through it."
The Rescue Mission has been busy during Thanksgiving week; they also served about 300 people earlier this week over at the Paris Gibson Education Center.
And at Malmstrom Air Force Base, there is no rest for those protecting our nation, but Security Forces personnel at Malmstrom received a special Thanksgiving delivery this afternoon.
Some Airmen received a homemade Thanksgiving dinner delivered right to them, as the Ross family brought everything needed for a full meal, including a deep-fried turkey, plenty of gravy and pie.
Dad is part of team Malmstrom and the family thought this would be a great way to give thanks to those protecting the base on the holiday. This is the first year the Ross family decided to make the special Malmstrom Thanksgiving dinner.
