While most of Billings was sleeping at midnight, hundreds of people lined up outside of Toys "R" Us to kick off the Black Friday doorbuster deals.
Shoppers of all ages from grandparents to teenagers started showing up as early as 9:00 p.m. on Thursday to secure their spot inline.
And by 11:45 p.m., it stretched from the entrance all the way around the side of the building and up the hill behind the store.
Shoppers joked and laughed to pass the time as they waited to get their early Christmas presents. Meanwhile, store employees handed out tickets to shoppers so they could get hot items like the ipod touch, Smores Pony, which is a real life robotic pony, as well as the robotic Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster.
One Midnight hit, shoppers were let in and Black Friday officially started in Billings. And just down the street at Best Buy, shoppers with a wish list consisting of all the hot high tech items of the year camped outside the store, waiting until the store opened at 5:00 Friday morning.
Shoppers there got great deals and most were able to get their hands on all sorts of cool gadgets from mp3 players to TV's.The computer-area housed some great deals as well with a $600 computer marked down to just $200.
With the hot coffee flowing and feet kicked up, some shoppers slept while other just sat and waited for the store opening.
We asked a few dedicated shoppers why waiting in the cold just to get a good deal was worth it and they say its for the rush and a feeling of accomplishment.
About 50 shoppers camped out as of 12:30 Friday morning, with the earliest shoppers showing up around 10:00 Thursday morning.
