A late morning accident Thursday put seven vehicles into the ditch south of Roundup.

The initial wreck occurred near mile marker 32 after an elderly woman was attempting to make a u-turn back towards Billings. Her car was then hit by a vehicle approaching in the other lane.

Montana Highway Patrol trooper Kyle Hayter said, "As a result of the first crash, some vehicles were parked along the road and checking on them-another vehicle then came through and rear-ended a few of them- a few of those cars- causing them to go in the ditch."

There were no major injuries resulting from either crash.

Two people, including a 16 year old girl, were transported to the hospital.
