Members of the National Parks Conservation Association are looking for the public's help in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Glacier National Park.

The NPCA and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have partnered up to from the Climate Friendly Parks Program. Glacier National Park has joined the effort and is working on reducing their emissions by using shuttles, increasing recycling and making buildings more energy efficient.

A new web site has been set up, and is geared at encouraging individuals to reduce their emissions at home for a park they love.

The site leads people through their personal impact, and shows them how to reduce those numbers and save money.

"Not only when you go through this process on the do your part for climate friendly parks web site, you not only reduce your emissions and feel good about helping Glacier National Park, but you also have the ability to save money, energy costs and transportation costs" explains Michelle Tafoya with the NPCA.

The goal is for Glacier National Park to save 7,000,000 pounds of carbon dioxide in 2008.
