He's the youngest grandson of an American literary icon and an author himself, but Edward Hemingway's latest work is written with children in mind.
The 39-year-old writer and illustrator made a guest appearance Tuesday night at the Country Bookshelf to read from his children's book, "Bump in the Night," and sign copies.
Though Hemingway now lives in New York, he grew up in Bozeman and said he iss always happy to return home.
Hemingway wrote and illustrated the children's book and said the goal was to create a visual message, telling kids not to be afraid.
"I've definitely been painting longer than I've been writing, but with the children's book, it's telling a story visually, and I think the two are integral. So certainly, with these books, they're pretty equal," Hemingway said.
The book "Bump in the Night" is available in stores now.
