The Las Vegas-based airline Allegiant Air has announced that it will offer low-cost, nonstop flights from Billings Logan International Airport to LAX.

The direct flights to Los Angeles will begin on May 20th, and will depart Billings on Friday and Tuesdays.  Billings and Missoula are two of only 12 markets to receive the new nonstop service.

Airport officials in Billings tell us despite the slowing economy, Allegiant Air is doing well and they are excited about this new service.

Allegiant began service out of Billings March 31, 2006 and currently offers nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Phoenix-Mesa.
