Body found in Billings creek

BILLINGS - A body was found in Alkali Creek, lying face down in the water, shortly before noon on Tuesday.

Firefighters retrieved the body and a coroner with the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office is on the scene, along with county deputies and detectives.

The Billings Police Department also responded.

Billings Fire Department rescues man from rimrocks

BILLINGS - The Billings Fire Department was called to the top of the Billings rimrocks for a rope rescue on Sunday.

Firefighters rescued the male victim who fell approximately 30 feet from a cliff.

The location of the rescue effort was east of the airport above 18th Street.

The person rescued is believed to be an 18-year old male; no other information has been released at this point.
